Since calling an API method takes of the order of one second, calling pages.get_meta for every page on a site takes a significant time. The delay to an application GUI is of the order of ten seconds. That is not too long, but it is on the high side of reasonable.
I am wondering if pages.get_meta's limit of ten pages was arrived at after an impact assessment, or whether it was a random number that seemed reasonable. If it was the former, then that is perfectly understood, and my users will just have to grin and bear the delay. On the other hand, if it was just a nice whole number that definitely would not impact the servers, could I ask if it might be increased somewhat? If ten is safe, then maybe twenty, thirty or a hundred would also be safe, and any of those would see a significant improvement in the end-user's experience.
